Frankless Frank is the eighth episode of Timothy Goes to School.
Synopsis[]
After Frank 1 gets sick and is unable to go to school, Frank 2 tries to get through the day without him.
Plot[]
One day during recess, the boys are playing football. Timothy, Charles and Fritz are unable to compete with the sporty Franks, but after they manage to score a point, Frank 1 complains that he suddenly feels itchy. It passes as Mrs. Jenkins calls for the students and notices he isn't feeling well and has a fever. She takes him to the nurses office and the boys express concern.
The following day, everyone learn that Frank 1 has to stay at home as Frank 2 boards the bus. He gloomily sits alone and waves goodbye to his brother and dad, and at school he informs Mrs. Jenkins about what happened. She assures him that everything will be okay after noticing how sad he is. Throughout the day, Frank 2 struggles getting used to not having Frank 1 with him. Timothy is concerned for him during recess, and Fritz points out he really didn't know what else to do without Frank 1 and still wants to play football. Frank 2 struggles to play without his brother, and he becomes too depressed to focus on the game.
After school, Frank 2 happily returns home and is excited to see Frank 1. But he's sad realizing that his brother had a lot of fun today- he got to eat ice cream and played games with their dad. He didn't even seem to miss him.
The next day, their dad comes in their room to wake them up. Frank 1 is still sick, which doesn't surprise him. But Frank 2 is disappointed because he isn't sick, so he can still go to school. He asks to stay home though, because he wants to stay with his brother and have fun too, but his dad convinces him to go to school on the grounds that if he doesn't go, there wouldn't be any Franks there at all.
At school the children do some art activities until Mrs. Jenkins tells them to partner up for puzzle time. Frank 2 sits, not sure of what to do and when Timothy spots him, he offers to be his partner. Frank 2 is a bit anxious as he's never been with anyone else before, but Timothy tells him to at least try it out. He agrees and to his surprise they actually finish the puzzle. Then during lunch, Frank 2 is delighted realizing that he doesn't have to share his lunch with anyone. During recess Frank 2 feels a little lonely again until Timothy offers to play Football with him, against Fritz and Charles. Frank 2 agrees and they begin to play, with him and Timothy doing fairly well. But just as he leaps into the air to grab the ball, he's surprised when Frank 1 appears to catch it. Frank 1 explains that he was feeling better and he wanted to come back to school because he missed his brother.
However, once they head back inside, Frank 2 doesn't feel very well. This alarms everyone and Mrs. Jenkins leads him to the Nurses Office, with the thought of being alone dons on Frank 1, just as it did his brother the other day. Timothy expresses amusement as everyone looks on with concern.

- During the first day of the episode, Claude was not at school.
- On Qubo, the following scenes were edited out or shortened:
- The next day when Frank 2 is picked up, Timothy and the others on the bus are shown chatting for a moment. Qubo skips to Timothy asking where Frank 1 is.
- In class, Doris answers a question, as does Frank 2, but he begins to miss Frank 1 and gets sad.
Errors[]
- Mrs. Jenkins tells each partner set to pick a pile of puzzle parts, but there was only one pile of puzzles at each desk.
- When Mrs. Jenkins congratulates Frank and Timothy for finishing the puzzle, Doris and Fritz's puzzle looks like it's made out of bigger pieces. But earlier their pile had the same amount and size of pieces.
