"Talent Show" is the fourteenth episode of Timothy Goes to School.
Synopsis[]
Grace gets hurt before the upcoming Talent Show. In the process she learns that even if she can't perform she can still play a large role in helping the others.
Summary[]
At School, the students are playing "Let's Pretend", and dress themselves up in different costumes. Doris a Majorette, Claude a King, the Franks as Football Players, Grace a Fairy Ballet, Timothy a Pirate, Fritz a Detective, Nora a pilot, and so fourth. After this, Mrs. Jenkins announces that they will be holding a talent show. Fritz immediately knows what he wants to do - a magic act, and Lily asks to help as well. Grace gets excited and decides to do her ballet moves.
Later on in the day, the students are setting everything up and practicing what they want to do. As Grace does her moves, the Franks throw bouncy balls, Doris rotates her body to move a hoop and almost knocking over Grace, Fritz and Lily doing their magic act, and Claude practicing a poem, which Timothy compliments him on. Yoko asks Timothy what he's doing, but he doesn't know. Mrs. Jenkins asks him to be the Master of Ceremonies, and Timothy accepts. That evening, we see Timothy, Grace and Fritz and Lily practicing their roles.
On the day of the Talent Show, everyone is preparing their roles, but soon notice Grace isn't here, until everyone gasps - Grace has broken her ankle, to which she said she fell and broke it. She starts to cry as she now can't be in the talent show and can't do anything, but Timothy knows what to do, she can help him with the curtain. However, her new role starts to become more useful, where she suggests to Doris to use a bigger hoop when she gets stuck, and to time Nora on when she starts to tap dance.
All the parents have now gavered in the sports hall to watch the show, and everyone is now ready. Nora starts off with her Tap Dancing, despite feeling quite nervous. This is followed up with The Franks throw balls together, Doris rotating her hoop (with Grace making sure she has a larger hoop so she doesn't get stuck), Claude's poem, Charles' Yo-Yo tricks, and ending with Fritz and Lily's Magic act. At the end of the show, everyone appaudes the students, but Mrs. Jenkins gives special credit to Grace for helping out, and Lily gives her the flowers from the magic act. The episode ends with Grace thanking everyone.
